http://kakaku.com/pc/usb-hub/

<太田>

 The energy question explains, in part, the difference between Western countries and Asian countries in reacting to Russia's annexation of the Crimean peninsula. While the United States and the E.U. have announced travel bans and targeted sanctions on Russian and Ukrainian officials, China and India have conspicuously taken a soft line toward Russia in the wake of the crisis. Japan and South Korea, staunch U.S. allies, were slow to condemn Russia's invasion and largely unwilling to do much to reverse it.

 "What we are witnessing," he wrote, "is not just the end of the cold war, or a passing of a particular period of postwar history, but the end of history as such: that is, the end point of mankind's ideological evolution and the universalisation of western liberal democracy as the final form of human government."・・・
 Fukuyama distinguished his own position from that of the sociologist Daniel Bell, who published a collection of essays in 1960 titled The End of Ideology. ・・・
 Fukuyama claimed not that ideology per se was finished, but that the best possible ideology had evolved. ・・・

 Fulfilment, he argues, will come from building “social capital”. Freed from the need to earn a living, people will get closer to the things that really matter: collaborating -- and empathising -- with other people.・・・
