<太田>

http://www.asahi.com/national/update/0509/SEB201005080060.html
http://www.tokyo-np.co.jp/article/national/news/CK2010050902000071.html

<太田>

http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E7%A5%9E%E8%B0%B7%E4%B8%8D%E4%BA%8C

・・・Lenin came to London six times, spending a lot of time at the British Library, where for the first time he got access to Karl Marx's works.
"Many people at the library remembered Lenin as a short, hard-working man who read avidly. He always ordered huge amounts of books and read them amazingly fast, with astonishing energy and drive," says historian Helen Rappoport.
Moreover, according to her, London became for Lenin a symbol of the evil he wanted to destroy. He often invited friends to walk through the East End, to show the gap between the classes.
"It's quite ironic that a capitalist state like Britain gave Lenin access to books, freedom of action, financial aid. And precisely here, in London, Lenin wrote his books about destroying world capitalism," smiles Ms Rappoport. ・・・
One theory is that Lenin met Stalin for the first time in London, in 1905.

・・・Emmanuel Faye・・・comes very close, on the book’s last page, to saying that Heidegger’s collected works should be banned from libraries: “They are . . . as destructive and dangerous to current thought as the Nazi movement was to the physical existence of the exterminated peoples. . . . Hitlerism and Nazism will continue to germinate through Heidegger’s writings at the risk of spawning new attempts at the complete destruction of thought and the extermination of humankind.”・・・
・・・h<e> employ<s> his key terms ? being, existence, decision ? as euphemisms for nationalism and Führer-worship.

http://heibonshatoday.blogspot.com/2010/04/blog-post_02.html

・・・Nietzsche・・・hoped for a future hierarchical society in which the labor of the many would support the greatness of the few, one in which the cultural cacophony of contemporary liberal societies would be replaced by the solidarity of a single, common culture.・・・
・・・while one might be able to create a small-scale community based on common and voluntary commitment to art, as Wagner sought to do in Bayreuth, scaling up such a project to society as a whole, with all its de facto diversity, would require dictatorial political power. The mystical origins of Nietzsche’s Dionysian community are an open invitation to the unleashing of irrational passion that is perfectly happy to squander the life of any individual standing in its way.・・・
Acknowledgment of the death of God is a bomb that blows up many things, not just oppressive traditionalism, but also values like compassion and the equality of human dignity on which support for a tolerant liberal political order is based.

・・・humans do have a rudimentary moral sense from the very start of life. With the help of well-designed experiments, you can see glimmers of moral thought, moral judgment and moral feeling even in the first year of life.・・・
Socialization is critically important. But this is not because babies and young children lack a sense of right and wrong; it’s because the sense of right and wrong that they naturally possess diverges in important ways from what we adults would want it to be. ・・・
The morality of contemporary humans really does outstrip what evolution could possibly have endowed us with; moral actions are often of a sort that have no plausible relation to our reproductive success and don’t appear to be accidental byproducts of evolved adaptations. ・・・
There’s plenty of research showing that babies have within-group preferences・・・
・・・this notion of impartiality can be found in religious and philosophical systems of morality, from the golden rule in Christianity to the teachings of Confucius to the political philosopher John Rawls’s landmark theory of justice. This is an insight that emerges within communities of intelligent, deliberating and negotiating beings, and it can override our parochial impulses.
The aspect of morality that we truly marvel at ? its generality and universality ? is the product of culture, not of biology.

・・・<Brazil>'s National Defense Strategy, which was unveiled in late 2008. In addition to the mastery of the complete nuclear fuel cycle -- which has since been achieved -- the document calls for the building of nuclear-powered submarines.・・・
April 2004,・・・IAEA was denied unlimited access to a newly built enrichment facility in Resende, near Rio de Janeiro. The Brazilian government also made it clear that it did not intend to sign the additional protocol to the NPT, which would have required it to open previously undeclared facilities to inspection. ・・・
Brazil is probably also developing something else in the plants it has declared as production facilities for nuclear submarines: nuclear weapons. ・・・
because almost all nuclear submarines are operated with highly enriched uranium, which also happens to be weapons grade uranium, Brazil can easily justify producing highly enriched nuclear fuel.
Even if there is no definitive proof of Brazil's nuclear activities (yet), past events suggest that it is highly likely that Brazil is developing nuclear weapons. Neither the constitutional prohibition nor the NPT will prevent this from happening.

・・・Young people, especially well-educated professionals, are fleeing the island. Tens of thousands have emigrated in the past two years. ・・・
Analysts blame growing frustration over President Raúl Castro's stalled reforms.・・・
Bureaucratic and financial hurdles remain, but Cuba has loosened restrictions on leaving, opening the door to those who have the will and means to wrangle a visa for another country.・・・
Cuba's population stopped growing in 2006 and is now shrinking at a rate unseen since the cholera epidemic and wars of the 19th century. A population of 11,237,154 in 2007 is expected to dwindle by 77,000 in the next two decades. Partly that represents a success for 51 years of communist rule: good education and healthcare help the Cubans to live as long as Americans, and lower fertility rates resemble the demographic curve of many western countries.
Emigration is the other major factor

・・・as in many Latin American countries, to which the Philippines bears some resemblance, the mechanics of voting and the trappings of freedom have not brought the mass of Filipinos the fruits of democracy that are their due. Power continues to be exercised through violence and privilege, sometimes through an unholy alliance of the two. Elections, particularly at local level, can be bought. ・・・
Not only are most Filipinos poor, with a nominal per capita income of $1,750<=米国の旧植民地(太田)>, according to the International Monetary Fund. (That compares with $3,950 for Thailand<=独立を維持した国(太田)>, a country hardly devoid of problems, $7,000 for Malaysia<=英国の旧植民地(太田)> and $17,000 for Taiwan<=日本の旧植民地(太田)>). Its income is also extremely skewed, even by Asia’s spectacularly inegalitarian standards. ・・・
・・・eight million Filipinos ? almost one in 10 ? finds employment abroad. ・・・
Without the massive $17bn they send home each year in remittances, the Philippine economy would collapse.

Brigadier Stylianos Pattakos, the last of the dictators still alive, feels unabashedly vindicated. "In our time," he told the Observer in an interview, "there was no debt. Not one drachma went astray. The Greeks are not disciplined like the Germans or the British. They need authority."・・・
"This has gone beyond economic matters to a battle for national independence," says Manolis Glezos, the leftist who shot to fame snatching the swastika from the Acropolis shortly after Hitler's forces streamed into Athens in 1941.・・・
"The capriciousness of Ottoman rule and the weakness of the idea of the rule of law helped to shape the underlying values of Greek society and to determine attitudes to the state and to authorities that have persisted into the present,・・・
"When the rest of Europe were living in dukedoms and refining democratic institutions, we were part of a huge empire living in an agrarian and feudal Balkan state,"・・・

David Cameron's hopes of forming a coalition with the Liberal Democrats were dramatically undermined last night by the leaking of a top-secret letter outlining the hardline Eurosceptic stance he and William Hague planned to adopt in government.

・・・Currently, more than 130 million women and girls worldwide have undergone female genital cutting, according to the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. It is mostly performed on girls younger than 15 in countries including Ethiopia, Sudan and Somalia. Consequences can include severe complications with pregnancy, childbirth and sexual dysfunction. ・・・
