http://english.chosun.com/site/data/html_dir/2013/03/29/2013032901023.html
http://www.guardian.co.uk/books/2013/mar/21/real-iron-lady-review

 The U.S. seems determined that South Korea should permanently relinquish its rights to enrich uranium and reprocess the mass of spent fuel rods from its nuclear power plants.
 ・・・if Seoul fails to revise the deal, the existing pact simply lapses, and that could mean South Korea would face problems obtaining nuclear fuel. The country relies wholly on uranium imports to fuel its nuclear power plants, and 20 to 30 percent come from the U.S.

 ・・・ in 1988, Japan became the only country without nuclear arms to have nearly full permission to enrich uranium and reprocess spent fuel.
 India also won the right to reprocessing in its 2007 agreement with the U.S.・・・chiefly because the U.S. wanted to keep China in check and embrace a huge emerging market. ・・・

Korea ranks No. 5 in the world in terms of nuclear power production with 35 percent of its total electricity output coming from that source. Yet it is the only one among the world's top five that is not allowed to reprocess spent nuclear fuel.
 Korea is not allowed even to transport its own fissile materials within the country. The Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute has to use fake ingredients to develop so-called pyroprocessing technology, which does not produce weapons-grade plutonium, and researchers there must travel to the U.S. to conduct research with genuine materials under close scrutiny.

・・・Of all the members of the American delegation at Versailles in 1919 it was Hoover, the mining whiz and venture capitalist, who most acutely discerned that the demands for reparations placed on Germany would destabilize the country and force the very war that the conference aimed to preclude. It was also Hoover who led the great food-aid project at the war's end, preventing mass starvation. In "The Economic Consequences of the Peace" (1919), John Maynard Keynes wrote: "The ungrateful governments of Europe owe much more to the statesmanship and insight of Mr. Hoover and his band of American workers than they have yet appreciated or will ever acknowledge."
 In his magnum opus on World War II, Hoover claimed that the Roosevelt administration needlessly antagonized Japan, probably true. He argued, rightly, that China, near the war's end, was a "sea of misery" vulnerable to Mao. He charged that our own government's greatest error came "when Roosevelt put America in to help Russia as Hitler invaded Russia in June 1941. We should have let those two bastards annihilate themselves."
 Even for the many readers who will not agree with such a sentiment, Hoover's 1941 analysis of the danger of the U.S. joining Russia in the war looks downright prophetic: "If we go further and join the war and we win, then we have won for Stalin the grip of Communism on Russia and more opportunity for it to extend in the world." In the 1950s and early 1960s, Hoover's aversion to negotiating with communists seemed extreme. Today, looking back on Soviet perfidy and the misery that communism caused during the Cold War years, we can only wonder why we did not follow Hoover.

Bright Is the NightМ.

Light is the Night. The moon is
Shining quietly over the river.
And there is silver moonshine
On the blue wave.
The forest is dark. The nightingale isn't singing
Loudly its songs
On the emerald-green branches
Of the silent trees.
The blue flowers
Are in full bloom in the moonshine.
They have awakened dreams
In my heart.
I'm flying to you in my dreams,
Whispering your name.
My sweetheart, my darling,
I'm longing for you.
My darling, I'm still longing
For you this night.
My sweetheart, my darling,
I recall you in the moonlight ,
this night, still loving you
As much as always.
My sweetheart, my darling,
Remember me
Over there, in your homeland,
In the moonlight, this night.
My sweetheart, my darling,
Remember me...

Howyoung we were А.

Look back, the unfamiliar passer-by,
To me your sight incorruptible a sign...
Perhaps I it - only am younger,
Not always we learn ourselves...

Anything on the earth does not pass completely,
And the youth left nevertheless is immortal.
As we were young,
As we were young,
As sincerely loved,
As trusted in itself!

Do Not Hurry(注) Arno Babadjanian作曲
