≫「輝き」を失わせた要因は、近年の「大学改革」≪（コラム#5463。朝日記事）
について。まさしくその通りでしょう。
日本人の学生がハングリーでなくワイルドもない環境で、１流とは言えない質の、少なからずの留学生（日本語、英語がそれぞれ完全ではない）を受け入れて、本当に面倒を見なければならい環境です。
そして、会議の上に会議、書類の上に書類、「改革のための手段の目的化」そして「改革疲れ」、公共団体からのE-Mailで事務を通じて、この書類に、アンケトに3日＜時には夕刻までに＞で答えてください。
などなど、そして管理者、執行部の人は「仕事は忙しい人に頼むに限る」などと。
事務的な、官僚的な人材が上に上がるシステムとなってます。

「「国からの補助が減り、外部から研究費をとってくる人が優遇されるようになった。予算を持ってくるため、すぐに成果が出る研究が増え、長い時間をかけて成果を出す研究ができない環境になってしまった」

乱暴にまとめれば、アホな文部官僚達が、ゆとりを与えちゃいけない生徒達にゆとり教育を施し、ゆとりを奪っちゃいけない大学人達の雑用を増やしたために、日本の初等中等教育も高等教育・研究も、両方とも破壊されちゃったってことですな。

以前から人間主義と、ミラーニューロンの研究がどうリンクしてくるのか気になっていましたが、まだ研究が始まったばかりの段階でそこを結びつけて考えるのは飛躍しすぎかと思い、投稿できませんでした。
ミラーニューロンは言語の起源とも深く関わっているようです。

昨夜の未公開コラム（#5464）の末尾近くをご披露しておきましょう。
「人類は、ミラーニューロンという人間主義の基盤たる共感を呼び起こす生理を共有しており、人は、仮に困っている他人が赤の他人であったとしても、その他人を助けたいという自分の気持ちに忠実に行動することは、単に気持ちが良いだけでなく、将来、その他人が同じような行動を自分にとってもその他人にとっても赤の他人に対してとる可能性が高まるのであって、その連鎖が回り回って、将来、今度は自分が困っている時に自分を助けてくれる赤の他人が増えることへの期待が付け加わって、その人は、赤の他人に対しても、協力的ないし利他的な行動をとる、と私は考えているのです。」

In a Friday editorial, the paper wrote that “1.3 billion Chinese people cannot be fooled so easily.” It was referring to Chen and his supporters. But it may just as easily have been referring to the Communist Party’s propaganda machine.
