そして兵頭さんと共著のある元防衛審議官の太田述正さんは昭和帝を最高の知識人(・・・本当の知識人とは軍事を知っている人間なのだという文脈で・・・)と評しておられました。
昭和の不幸とは昭和帝の下にいた非・横綱たちが昭和帝の戦略判断を理解できなかったことかもしれません(苦笑)

そこで日本軍に先に手出しをさせるために、日本への石油輸出を止めたのです。
これはいわゆる裏口論です。
東アジアという裏口から欧州という家に入ることを意味します。

だからこそ米軍が日本を戦略拠点として利用してきたと言う視点は正しいが、一面的な見方でもある
戦後日本政府(自民党)は米軍の戦略拠点を利用し米国･韓国･台湾の安全保障にただ乗りしてきたと言う視点もある
日本から米軍を追い出したら、誰が“日本の安全保障に関わる防衛領域下”である台湾･朝鮮有事に駆け付けるのでしょう、抑止力になるのでしょう、自衛隊は本土(内地)を守る軍隊なので無理ですな
そしてこれが日米同盟だわな、アメリカ国民ならオバマのようにこの同盟国に相応の軍事的負担をするよう問い掛けるべきでわ？
中近東になぜ自衛隊は派遣されないのかを逆に問うべきだと思うが･･････

＜１月７日の＞元防衛省の太田さんの講演（と飲み会）。太田氏、予想通り過激。「アングロサクソン（英国）/折衷（米国、とそれに従属する日本）/欧州文明」に三分類して仮説を構築。すごく英国主義。英国は高等民族だから英国と一緒に世界を引っ張るべきだし、極端なこと言えば英国の真似しておけばよい、と。
日本が米国に従属しているという根拠?安全保障関係を背景とした脅しが効くこと?全て情報が筒抜けであるという事実。その他も、「日本に憲法なんてないもの（政府解釈で変更自由）」「憲法なんて自分をしばることができない下等民族のためのもの。だから英国にはが憲法ない」等、太田節爆裂。
実務レベルでの経験に基づく事実を聞けたのは大変良かった。「米国は日本の再軍備を心から望んでいるが日本は頑なに拒否し続けている」とか。さて、皆さんはどう思いますか？

警察庁だけでなく、「防衛省よ、おまえもか」と突っ込みたくなるのが、元仙台防衛施設局長・太田述正氏による『実名告白防衛省』（金曜日）だ。防衛省といえば、今も防衛装備品調達をめぐる汚職事件の裁判が続いているが、この事件で起訴された守屋武昌・元事務次官と同期である著者は、事件の本質を丁寧に解説。額賀福志郎、加藤紘一、中谷元といった実名を挙げながら、防衛利権に群がる口利き政治家や、企業との癒着の実態を暴いていく。
普天間移設問題に揺れ、我が国の安全保障政策の見直しが必須の昨今にあって、防衛省がこの体たらくでは......と日本の将来が思いやられる・・・

話、また変わりますが、今、非公開コラムで連載中のシリーズの副産物として、ジョン・W・ダワー『人種偏見』（TBSブリタニカ。1987年）の中で、以下のくだりを再発見しました。
「日本軍はフランスのビシー政府の行政機構を通じてインドシナ支配を行な＜たが、＞戦争の最終段階には、ひどい飢餓の場となった。独占的な日本のコメ政策（日本軍に食べさせるため）、米軍の空襲、それに44年後半からの海上封鎖（国内の輸送機関を寸断した）が相まって45年の飢餓をもたらし、トンキンとアンナンで100万人を越すベトナム人が死亡した。」（355頁）
べじたんさん、最近ご無沙汰していますが、これ、間違いなく、コラム#3689の「米国は何万人のアジア人を殺したか？」に盛り込んでいただいていい数字だと思いますね。

警察庁だけでなく、「防衛省よ、おまえもか」と突っ込みたくなるのが、元仙台防衛施設局長・太田述正氏による『実名告白防衛省』（金曜日）だ。防衛省といえば、今も防衛装備品調達をめぐる汚職事件の裁判が続いているが、この事件で起訴された守屋武昌・元事務次官と同期である著者は、事件の本質を丁寧に解説。額賀福志郎、加藤紘一、中谷元といった実名を挙げながら、防衛利権に群がる口利き政治家や、企業との癒着の実態を暴いていく。
普天間移設問題に揺れ、我が国の安全保障政策の見直しが必須の昨今にあって、防衛省がこの体たらくでは......と日本の将来が思いやられる・・・

話、また変わりますが、今、非公開コラムで連載中のシリーズの副産物として、ジョン・W・ダワー『人種偏見』（TBSブリタニカ。1987年）の中で、以下のくだりを再発見しました。
「日本軍はフランスのビシー政府の行政機構を通じてインドシナ支配を行な＜たが、＞戦争の最終段階には、ひどい飢餓の場となった。独占的な日本のコメ政策（日本軍に食べさせるため）、米軍の空襲、それに44年後半からの海上封鎖（国内の輸送機関を寸断した）が相まって45年の飢餓をもたらし、トンキンとアンナンで100万人を越すベトナム人が死亡した。」（355頁）
べじたんさん、最近ご無沙汰していますが、これ、間違いなく、コラム#3689の「米国は何万人のアジア人を殺したか？」に盛り込んでいただいていい数字だと思いますね。
なお、調べていただけたらとお願いしている、フィリピン人の死亡数、適当な資料、みつかりませんか。
